Workshops

IMPORTANT INFO REGARDING OUR WORKSHOPS:-

Workshops are run at my home based studio in Royal Wootton Bassett. Spaces are only reserved once full payment has been received. Please email [email protected], text or call Rachel 07828 552610 to reserve your space and arrange payment. payments are not refundable, although with at least 48 hours notice payment can be utilised toward another workshop.Facilities - Sadly we do not currently have any wheelchair access to the premises and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.We offer free tea and coffee during your workshop.We have toilet facilities here!

Make a caged beaded bracelet, earrings or pendant (or combination). 

Cost £40 which includes materials

Date: Tuesday 16th April 

9.30am-12:30am

Projects: Learn to make caged beads to produce a piece/s of jewellery to take away with you.  

This workshop also includes

-how to make jump rings

-how to make a wire work clasp

Tools provided for use during the workshop. 

Skill level: This is a good course for regular beaders and also suitable for beginners.

 

SESSION NOW FULL

Cost £40 which includes materials. 

The workshop is spread over 2 sessions (the cost includes both) to allow time for the resin to set and dry.  In the 2nd session you will attach cord, leather or chain to some of your pendants. 

Dates: Thur 18th April 10-11:30am & 2nd part Thurs 25th April 10-11am (time of second part can be rearranged if required)

Projects: I will take you through all the steps to make your own resin pendants, from mixing the appropriate resin and hardener and how to create your own unique pieces by adding colour pigments and embellishments, pressed flowers or gold leaf. 

As the resin takes around 24 hours to set, the second session will be adding earring backs or bails and chains according to your choice. 

Tools provided for use during the session. 

Skill level: For complete beginners or existing beaders looking to explore a new jewellery medium. 

Make a Beadwork pendant using a swarovski crystal rivoli, seed beads and crystals.  

Cost £40 which includes materials

Date: Wed 24th April 10-12.30pm. 

Projects: Create this beautiful beadwork pendant, using a technique called bead weaving.  This is a type of jewellery making using needle and specialist beaders thread.  The beads used are a combination of small seed beads and crystals. 

All relevant tools and equipment provided for use during the workshop.  There will also be a selection of colour choices.  

Skill level: This course is suitable for beginners

Make a wire wrapped flower pendant. 

Cost £25 which includes materials

Date: Tues 30th April 10-12pm.

Projects: Create this beautiful wire pendant by learning weaving techniques, shaping. and hammering.

Make a Wire coiled bracelet using the coiling gizmo.

Cost £15 which includes materials

Date: Wed 1st May from 10-11.30am 

Projects: Create a wirework bracelet using the coiling gizmo, which is a tool that is clamped to the table and allows you to make neat coils, using various sized mandrels. Its a clever device and you will produce a bracelet during the session.

Skill level: This is a good course for regular beaders and also suitable for beginners.

 Date: Friday 3rd May 1:30-2:30pm

Projects:Create a beaded necklace using tigertail thread.

 Skill level: This course is for beginners or existing beaders looking for a refresher. 

 

Make two resin pendants using colour pigments set in a metal pendant base. 

Cost £15 which includes materials (chain also included)

Date: Thursday 9th May 10-11am 

Projects:  Create your own custom made pendants from a choice of colours, using resin.  

Tools provided for use during the workshop 

Skill level: This course is for beginners or existing beaders looking for a refresher. 

Cost £35 which includes materials with a choice of seed beads, gemstones and beads. 

Date: Friday 10th May 1-3pm

 Projects: Create bead embroidery pendantcombined with bead weaving techniques, using a specialist needle and thread.  I will take you through each stage of the process to create a beautiful  embroidery pendant. Range of colours available. 

Tools provided for use during the session. 

Skill level: For complete beginners or any beaders requiring a refresher!

Make a Beadwork mandala dreamcatcher style pendant.  

Cost £40 which includes materials

Date: Wed 22nd May 10am - 1pm

Projects: Create this beautiful beadwork mandala pendant, using a technique called bead weaving.  This is a type of jewellery making using needle and specialist beaders thread.  The beads used are a combination of small seed beads and crystals. 

All relevant tools and equipment provided for use during the workshop.  There will also be a selection of colour choices.  

Skill level: This course is suitable for beginners. 

Make a Beadwork pendant.  

Cost £30 which includes materials

Dates: Wed 5th June 10am -12.30pm

Projects: Create this beautiful beadwork pendant, using a technique called bead weaving.  This is a type of jewellery making using needle and specialist beaders thread.  The beads used are a combination of small seed beads and twin holed beads, alongside crystals. 

All relevant tools and equipment provided for use during the workshop.  There will also be a selection of colour choices.  

Skill level: This course is suitable for beginners. 

Make Peyote Beadwork earrings with sterling silver findings. 

Cost £35 which includes materials

Date: Wed 19th June 10am - 12.30pm

Projects: Create these beautiful earrings using a technique called bead weaving.  This is a type of jewellery making using needle and specialist beaders thread.  The beads used are small seed beads otherwise know as delicas. 

All relevant tools and equipment provided for use during the workshop.  There will also be a selection of colour choices.  

Skill level: This course is suitable for beginners.
